Jack Lawson

An award-winning photographer based in London. His character-driven work spans across portraiture, lifestyle and travel, taking him all over the world. Jack studied Psychology at university but turned to photography as his creative outlet. Despite being seemingly very different pursuits, both psychology and photography formed the basis of how he sees the world.

Fascinated with all aspects of humanity, Jack captures the beautiful diversity of the world around him and the uniqueness of each of his subjects. He’s had the opportunities to meet and work with some inspiring people from all walks of life, from professional footballers and refugees, to CEOs and prisoners. With his personal work Jack seeks subjects with interesting stories to tell, to create something both visually and emotionally appealing.

Ejatu Shaw

A London-based photographer and content creator, currently undertaking a Photography Arts MA. In her work she explores the intricacies of identity and her journey, photographing those around her as well as using self-portraiture to perform the various strands of her identity that she struggles to align with. Posing in front of the camera under the scrutiny of her own gaze is her way of being introspective and working through any anxieties she has regarding her idea of self.

Ejatu is passionate about uplifting the black gaze and challenging institutions to give validity and priority to black photographers in their self-representation. She sees the collection of archives as a form of activism, and as a black female photographer acknowledges the importance of contributing to a forever growing archival pool of black representation.

Khalil Musa

A photographer born in Massachusetts, USA to Lebanese parents. He spent his early childhood in Sierra Leone before moving to Manchester, UK where he resided for his formative years.

Inspired by his father’s own keen interest in photography, Khalil began experimenting with cameras at a young age. His love for documenting his friends, family and surroundings as a teenager led him to formally study photography at the University of West England.

Throughout his portraiture, Khalil’s sense of intimacy with his subjects has remained. His photography features dynamic compositions of athletes, models and talent that are tonally understated, yet they create impactful and arresting images for the viewer.

Serena Brown

A 23-year-old photographer who uses the influence of her culturally diverse London upbringing to inform her creative approach. Since graduating with a BA in Photography from Falmouth University, Serena emphasises her subjects at the heart of each image, creating themes of identity and representation throughout her work.

Serena’s photography has led her to adopt a social documentary style captured through a fashion lens, conveying a sense of honesty and community in every project. Portraying her subjects authentically is key to her aesthetic and recent series’ ‘Back a Yard’ and ‘Class of Covid-19’ both follow this tone, centring on issues that affect working class youth around the UK.
