Warehouse 421

Mitchell Studios were approached by the Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation in Abu Dhabi to concept, design and create an arts and culture festival to launch the opening of Warehouse 421, a space which spanned over 200m in length. We designed over 15 bespoke pop-up retail spaces to house the work of both local and international artists and brands. The project spanned over 5 months and in this time we worked alongside each brand to ensure their aesthetic and narrative was represented in their own unique form. All the pop-ups and items of furniture were designed and made to be re-used at a later date, reducing waste and encouraging re-use. Local craftsmen were used to create unique art installations throughout the festival space, staying true to the skills of the area.
